Carlos Malache is a cinematographer and filmmaker for television, narrative, commercial, music video and documentary productions.
I began my career at a local news station as a commercial producer and editor. There, I was quickly promoted to the role of commercial production manager, where my learning was kicked into high-gear. After shooting hundreds of low-budget local TV commercials, and a strong understanding of documentary style production, it was time to move onto the next step in my journey with a move to Colorado.
Since then, I've been fortunate to meet and work with some of the most inspiring and passionate people I've ever known, and had the opportunity to contribute to projects for Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Ford, and even a nice little Denver couple named Luke and Niki (check out the doc here).
I'm a skilled communicator and team-player on set, with a strong ability to manage shifting schedules, lighting conditions and crews, along with the multitude of challenges any project can face.
I'm completely dedicated to (dare I say obsessed with) squeezing every drop of quality that I can from every project—big or small. I excel at achieving high-quality results with natural/minimal lighting, crew and equipment, where the margin for error is extremely narrow and the utmost attention to detail is required.
I look forward to showing you what I can do to add value, quality and most importantly—a kick-ass visual story—to your project.
