Carlos Malache is a cinematographer and filmmaker for television, narrative commercial, music video and documentary productions.
Soon after becoming a commercial producer and editor at a local news station, he was quickly promoted to the role of commercial production manager where he produced, shot, edited and managed day-to-day production of hundreds of local TV commercials and news promos.
More recently, Carlos has been fortunate to be able to create documentaries and short films with inspiring Denver creatives. In addition, he has worked on advertisements for brands and companies like Univision, CBS, NBCUniversal, FlightSafety International, Honda, Toyota, Subaru and Ford.
As a skilled communicator and team-player on set, Carlos has a strong ability to manage shifting schedules, lighting conditions and crews, along with the multitude of challenges any project can face in various stages.
His work has been featured by Adweek and he has won awards for his news promos and PSAs from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. His film work has been awarded by the Tallgrass Film Association’s Down to the Wire 24 Hour Film Race, and he has even been nominated for a Heartland Emmy. However, his favorite projects revolve around stories of love, kindness and people.
His dedication (some say obsession) to squeezing every drop of quality from every project—big or small—helps him to excel at achieving high-quality results from every project no matter the budget. Clients frequently praise Carlos' skill in using natural or minimal lighting, crew, and equipment, where the margin for error is extremely narrow and the utmost attention to detail is required.
